Maintenance Schedule for Stair Climber Sport

Maintenance Schedule for Stair Climber Sport

In order to ensure the quality of your stair climber experience and maintain the safety of your equipment, it is important to adhere to a regular maintenance schedule. The following tasks should be completed on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis:

Daily

  • After each use wipe down the handlebars, and anywhere else sweat has touched with a non corrosive cleaner or sani-wipe.
  • Ensure all locking pins and adjustments are properly set before each use to prevent harm to the user.

Weekly

  • Check pedals for damage or deformation. If there is any looseness, remove the pedals and inspect the rollers for any damage. Clean the track of any dirt and debris.
  • Thoroughly clean the foot platform track with a clean microfiber rag.
  • Assess the incline adjustment mechanism for any damage to the frame and clean any debris found.
  • Test the batteries to ensure they provide reliable power to the console. It is recommended to use rechargeable batteries as a backup set.
  • Inspect the plastic housing for any damage. Contact customer service to order replacement parts if necessary.
  • Test the console functions to ensure proper working order. Call customer service to order a replacement console if needed. Functions to check include the start and stop button, program modes buttons, resistance and navigation buttons.

Monthly

  • Inspect the frame and electrical components for any damage.
  • Vacuum the area for any dust or debris and check the belt for wear. Contact customer service to schedule a service appointment if the drive belt needs to be replaced.
  • If a metal-on-metal sound develops, open the back plastic cover with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Locate the set screw and nut, and loosen the set nut connected to the bolt to adjust the adjustment bolt. To adjust the flywheel, tighten or loosen the center bolt over the flywheel (using a 5mm Allen wrench) to adjust the flywheel closer or further away from the magnet to prevent rubbing and the resulting noise. Adjust the set screw until the sound does not occur at all resistance ranges.

By adhering to this maintenance schedule, you can ensure the longevity and safety of your stair climber, allowing you to enjoy many successful workout sessions. For additional information, please refer to the instruction manual.
