Why hybrid

Most saunas make you choose.

Traditional saunas give you steam and stone heat. Infrared saunas give you a gentler, radiant warmth. Ours does both, then adds red light, so every session can be different.

01 · Traditional

Stone stove

An explosion-proof volcanic stone heater, wooden bucket and ladle. Pour water over the stones for real steam. On both hybrids it reaches 194°F.

Full-spectrum infrared panels built into the sauna walls
02 · Infrared

Full spectrum

Full-spectrum infrared warms you directly rather than the air around you. Your session feels deep but easy to breathe. On both hybrids it reaches 149°F.

03 · Carbon

Low-EMF carbon panels

Low-profile, low-EMF carbon heaters spread even warmth across the cabin, so there are no cold corners and no hot spots.

Echelon Recovery app

Run every session from your phone.

Your hybrid sauna connects to the Echelon Recovery app, built by Echelon. It's the same app that runs Echelon cold plunges and ThermaChill, so all your recovery equipment lives on one home screen.

Sauna control

See the current and target temperature side by side. Set your target up to 194°F traditional or 149°F infrared, or tap a preset, and control power and lights.

Session timer

2, 5, 10, 15 or 30-minute presets. Add or take off time mid-session, with a chime when you're done.

Using a cold plunge: pair an Echelon cold plunge and the timer runs contrast therapy: 10 minutes in the sauna, then into the plunge, switching back and forth each round.

Guided contrast therapy

Step-by-step hot and cold routines, like Contrast Reset or Hot · Cold · Compress. Each step starts when the last one ends.

Auto settings

Schedule your sauna to start at a set time with a countdown, and save profiles like Evening Reset to reuse in one tap.

Usage history

Track time in the sauna, sessions and average temperatures by week, month or year.

Challenges and leaderboards

Invite friends to sauna or cold plunge goals, join opt-in team and community leaderboards, and share your recovery recap.

Easy setup

One person. Under an hour.

Most saunas need a team of installers. Ours don't. We designed Echelon saunas so anyone can set them up: the wall panels line up and lock together with built-in clip latches. Our own Two-Person Hybrid was set up by one person in under an hour. A dedicated 220V circuit (20A for the 4-Person Infrared, 30A for the Two-Person Hybrid, 40A for the Four-Person Hybrid) must be installed before delivery. Assembly time excludes electrical work and preheating.

Typical sauna
  • Installer crew to assemble
  • Scheduling and labor costs
  • Hours or days of build time
Echelon
  • Clip-lock panels anyone can assemble
  • No installers to book or pay
  • One person, under an hour on the Two-Person Hybrid

Every model needs a dedicated 220V circuit (20A for the 4-Person Infrared, 30A for the Two-Person Hybrid, 40A for the Four-Person Hybrid). See electrical planning to share with your electrician.

Questions

Before you buy.

Need help with sizing or installation? Our team can walk you through it, and the installation guide covers the electrical details.

What does "three-in-one" mean?
The cabin has three heat sources: a traditional volcanic stone stove, full-spectrum infrared emitters and low-EMF carbon heating panels. Use traditional heat, infrared heat, or switch between them from the control panel.
How hot does it get?
Both hybrids, the Two-Person and the Four-Person, reach up to 194°F (90°C) in the traditional setting and 149°F (65°C) in the infrared setting. The 4-Person Infrared Sauna also reaches 149°F (65°C).
How do I switch between °F and °C?
On the Two-Person and Four-Person Hybrids, press and hold the TEMP + button on the control panel for 20 seconds. On the 4-Person Infrared Sauna, press and hold the Lock and TEMP − buttons together. The display switches between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Is it safety certified?
Yes. Every Echelon sauna, the Two-Person Hybrid, Four-Person Hybrid and 4-Person Infrared, is ETL and CE certified as a complete unit. Many home saunas do not carry these certifications, and safety is always Echelon’s focus. Each model also has built-in overheat and overcurrent protection.
Can I play my own music?
Yes, on both hybrids. Pair any phone or tablet over Bluetooth and play music, podcasts or guided sessions through the dual built-in speakers.
Where does the red light sit?
The red light therapy panel is mounted at upper-back height behind the bench.
Do I need installers?
No. Echelon saunas are designed so anyone can set them up. The wall panels lock together with built-in clip latches, with no install crew needed, and one person can set up the Two-Person Hybrid in under an hour, from boxes to first session. You will need a licensed electrician to add a dedicated circuit before delivery. Download the installation guide (PDF).
Can I run the stone stove and infrared at the same time?
No. You switch between them, and only one runs at a time. This is a standard safety design for hybrid saunas, not a power limit. Infrared uses low-EMF carbon panels for dry, low-humidity radiant heat, while the stone stove can create very high humidity when you pour water on the stones. Running both together would expose the carbon panels to that steam, which can damage them, shorten the sauna’s life and create a safety hazard.
What voltage and amperage does it need?
All three saunas run on 220V, 60Hz, single phase, on their own dedicated circuit. On the hybrids, the stone stove and infrared never run at the same time, so the max draw is the larger heater. Two-Person Hybrid: 3,000W stone stove (13.6A) or 2,000W infrared (9A), 13.6A max, on a 30A 2-pole breaker. Four-Person Hybrid: 6,000W stone stove (27.2A) or 3,100W infrared (14A), 27.2A max, on a 40A 2-pole breaker. Four-Person Infrared: 3,100W infrared (14A) on a 20A 2-pole breaker.
What outlet do I need?
Each sauna comes with a 220V power cord about 10 feet long. Two-Person Hybrid: a NEMA 6-30R outlet on a 30A circuit. Four-Person Infrared: a 220V 20A outlet (NEMA L6-20R) on a 20A circuit, to match its U.S. standard 220V 20A plug. Four-Person Hybrid: a NEMA 6-50R outlet on its 40A circuit, or hardwired by your electrician. Plug straight into the sauna’s own outlet, with no extension cords, adapters or power strips.
Where should the outlet go?
Power enters at the control box on the roof of the sauna, so place the outlet on the wall behind or beside the sauna, near the top, within reach of the 10-foot cord without strain. Keep it outside the cabin and easy to reach after assembly. See electrical planning for the full details to share with your electrician.
Is there an installation guide?
Yes. Download the installation guide (PDF) for electrical planning, step-by-step clip-latch assembly and first-session setup.
What warranty comes with it?
Every Echelon sauna for home use is covered for 7 years on the cabin and all heaters, including the stone stove, the full-spectrum infrared emitters and the low-EMF carbon panels. Controls and electronics are covered for 3 years. Glass, lighting, the Bluetooth audio system and the red light therapy panel are covered for 1 year. For the first 90 days, replacement parts and shipping are free. Register your sauna within 90 days of purchase to activate coverage. Commercial installations are covered for 5 years on the structure and 3 years on components.
Can I use it with a cold plunge?
Yes. Alternating sauna heat with an Echelon cold plunge is a popular contrast-therapy routine. Check with your doctor before starting any heat or cold routine.

Electrical planning Plan the power before delivery. Voltage, breaker, outlet and placement details to share with your electrician.

Share this with your electrician. Each sauna needs its own dedicated 220V circuit (20A for the 4-Person Infrared, 30A for the Two-Person Hybrid, 40A for the Four-Person Hybrid), installed by a licensed electrician before the sauna arrives.

Spec Two-Person Hybrid Four-Person Hybrid Four-Person Infrared

On the hybrids, the stone stove and infrared heaters never run at the same time, so max draw is the larger heater. The Four-Person Hybrid draws up to 27.2A and requires a 40A breaker. All electrical work must meet local code.

Where to put the outlet

  • Power enters the sauna at the control box on the roof. The power cord is about 10 feet long, so place the outlet on the wall behind or beside the sauna, near the top, within easy reach of the cord without strain.
  • Install the outlet outside the cabin, never inside the sauna.
  • Plug straight into the sauna’s own outlet. No extension cords, adapters or power strips, and no other appliances on the circuit.
  • Leave room to reach the outlet and the roof control box after assembly.
